Cameras at clinics serving Native Americans in Pendleton and Wichita, Kan., can send high-quality images of the back of the eye to doctors in Portland - without needing to dilate pupils. Doctors hope the program will increase eye check-ups among diabetic patients at high risk for vision loss.
